The 2008 Careers Expo was held at
the AIS arena on Wednesday 6th
and Thursday 7th August
consisting of several hundred stalls
which offered high school students a
great insight into numerous
potential careers. The Australian
Property Institute (API) had a stand
next door to the Australian Police
Force, and featured pamphlets
outlining the relevant university
degrees relating to property, the
role of the API and pamphlets on
‘What is a Valuer?’
The stand was attended by various
professionals in the industry who
volunteered their time including
Kellie Mossop of Regional Valuers
from 5.30 – 8pm on Thursday evening.
The experience was a great
networking opportunity and allowed
the Regional Valuers logo to been
seen by many students who were very
interested in the possibility of
future work experience.
The API sent out the following
thank you to the volunteers:-
